Policy Analysis

The TSNLA acts as an advocate for Third Sector providers of learning and skills within the wider policy arena, reflecting the views and concerns of its members.  It uses a range of emails, consultations, training feedback and meetings to gather information, opinion and concerns, and it makes extensive use of the experience and expertise of its Board of Trustees.

The TSNLA responds to concerns of the sector by:

  • Representation at a range of key stakeholder meetings
  • Attendance at key events, including conferences, launches, consultations, presentations and events in the House of Commons and the Lords
  • Open and closed letters to MPs, Ministers and key funders such as the SFA
  • Bi-lateral meetings with key government departments
  • The provision of template letters and tweets to members for their local use when addressing key funding and policy issues
  • Board and member blogs, tweets and other social media activity
  • Producing a monthly Policy Bulletin to summarise political and funding developments, opportunities for involvement, resources and actions
